Many Guyanese families are struggling more than ever to put food on their tables. Especially, at this time many single mothers are out of work and facing the economic burden of providing for their children. Our visit to several communities, recently showed, that they are many families that are severely disadvantaged and vulnerable to food insecurity, at this critical time. Ensuring that Guyanese children have ample access to nutritious meals daily, can help lessen the overall number of children who suffer from malnutrition. The Volunteer Youth Corps' Feeding program targets 1000 disadvantaged children, 12 years and under, in schools and communities; through the distribution of hampers and nutritious meals on a monthly basis. Help us feed 1,000 children per month. Make a donation today! The value of one meal is US$2.50. This will ensure the child receives a meal that includes: vegetables, meat and rice and a fruit juice. We are asking you to donate: 10 meals or more. Cost of meals are valued in USD.
